Bob Cassidy

Robert Cassidy

Robert Cassidy is currently the CIO of Signature Management Team, a leadership development training company. He is also the developer and owner of two online applications, Calendar Companion and Sermon Companion.

Robert sits on the boards of Kindred Spirit and Allgrace Outreach. He is also an active member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Michigan’s non-profit collaborative, working together with the CEO’s of 23 MI based non-profits, whose mission is sharing fundraising ideas, lowering operating expenses, and improving good governance practices.

Robert has also recently accepted a seat on the National Campaign Committee for the Autism Society of America (ASA). This arm of the organization is responsible for procuring funds to drive all key initiatives for the ASA over the next 5 years.

Additionally, he has earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Barbara Newhouse

Barbara Newhouse

Barbara Newhouse currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at the national level of the Autism Society. She has spent 30 successful years working in the non-profit arena. With experience in change management, public relations, fund raising, board governance and network/chapter leadership, Ms. Newhouse is leading the Autism Society, the nation's largest grassroots autism organization, into a new era of awareness and treatment for the condition.

Before joining the Autism Society, Ms. Newhouse spent 16 years working for the Alzheimer's Association, where she last served as Vice President of Chapter Relations. Previous to the Alzheimer's Association, she spent several years with both the American Cancer Society and the United Way of Siouxland. Ms. Newhouse has previously served on the boards of two different United Ways, two different chamber of commerces, a community mental health center, and a variety of United Way supported agencies in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, and California.

Ms. Newhouse has a Masters of Science in health care administration from the University of South Dakota, and a Bachelor of Arts in social work from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa.

Charles H. Webb

Charles H. Webb, Ph.D.

An alumnus of Spring Arbor University, Dr. Webb began his term as the University’s 29th president on June 1. Having devoted his entire professional career to higher education, he is admirably equipped to lead Spring Arbor University. Under his leadership and with the Concept as a guide, Spring Arbor University will continue to build on the momentum that has provided rapid growth in recent years and continue to further its role in impacting Christ’s kingdom on a global spectrum. Previously, Webb served as vice president for university development at Michigan State University, where he was the university offi cer responsible for the fundraising program and generating private sector support. He led MSU’s $1.2 billion campaign, where he exceeded the fundraising goal with a total of $1.38 billion. Webb also served 10 years as president of the Michigan State University Foundation, with assets exceeding $350 million. For nearly 13 years, he served as executive director for the MSU Alumni Association, which had more than 100 regional clubs and 27 constituent associations.

Webb was assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations and development for State University of New York, comprised of 64 campuses. Prior to that, he was assistant dean of students, assistant chaplain and director of planned giving at SAU after spending a year at Asbury Theological Seminary.

An adjunct faculty member at MSU, Webb has guest lectured for Vanderbilt University and faculty lectured for a CASE United Kingdom Institute. Dr. Webb is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church.

Webb is married to Philippa (Barnwell), an alumna of Spring Arbor University. Mrs.Webb also holds a master’s degree from Michigan State University, where she served as an academic specialist and team coordinator for the elementary team 2 in the Teacher Preparation Program. She assisted the team leader in program staffi ng to recruit qualifi ed individuals; worked with school personnel across 23 schools and six districts; provided professional development and oversight to fi eld instructors and led weekly meetings; facilitated planning for team special events; and worked closely with interns and teacher candidates providing support, problem solving and consultation. She is currently teaching a course for freshmen at Spring Arbor University.
