As mentioned in an earlier blog (I think), Gerson Therapy kept Dave's cancer at bay for 9 or so months, but that is no longer the case.  His cancer is progressing and its decision time once again.

At the recommendation of Dave's oncologist at Karmanos, we took a trip to the Blue and Maze (U of M Hospital) to learn about a couple of clinical trials which Dave may have been eligiblle for.  As it turns out, he qualifies for 1 trial which is of no interest to us at this time.  It's rather invasive, time consuming, toxic (of course), and the results fall far short from the You're Cured category.  In the meantime, Dave's done lots of research and has decided to begin another alternative program using herbal products developed from a molecular biologist who has studied blood, diseases and plants for over 30 years.  His program also involves a very high nutrition level, however it won't be as regimented as Gerson Therapy.

On the homefront life doesn't stop.  The boys basketball ended just in time to begin baseball and Sydney's volleyball ended just in time for her to take a little break from team sports.  Dave's been able to share some of his baseball stories from the good 'ole days and help the boys with their pitching form.  It's been wonderful to see him feel well enough to train them and include life lessons as well.

God continues to bless us with loved ones who share their time and resources with us as we continue down a very unpredictable path.  We remain encouraged.

Duet. 31:8 The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor
forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Re: A New Chapter

Dawn & Dave,
Paul and I are friends of Kevin and Beverly Puckett. They keep us updated on you and we are praying for you often and regularly. You are both such an encouragement to us as you trust the Lord while going down this path. Prov. 3:5-6 is a continual prayer of mine. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." It's so good to know that the Lord is with you all the way and that He will lead you and direct you. Please know that we think of you and lift you up to the Lord on a regular basis.
In Christ,
Paul & Kathryn Holloway
